Niamh and the Bridge of Words

In a green valley in Ireland lived a small fairy named Niamh.

Her wings were bright and green like the hills, and she loved to listen to people talking.
Niamh’s first language was Irish, but she was curious about other languages too.
She believed that words are magic.
They can make people smile, learn, and understand each other.

One night, Niamh saw people on two sides of a river.
They wanted to speak, but they didn’t understand the same language.
So, Niamh decided to help.
With her wand, she built a bridge of words.
Each stone of the bridge was a new English word — hello, friend, thank you, hope.

When the people crossed the bridge, they could finally talk and laugh together.
Niamh was very happy.
She understood that learning a language is like building a bridge —
a way to meet new people and share the magic of understanding.

Then Niamh had a new idea.
She wanted to help more people learn languages.
So, she created a blog called “Building Bridges”.
In her blog, she shares stories, games, and lessons to help students learn English and other languages.

Now, Niamh travels to classrooms around the world.
Maybe she is with you now, helping you learn English,
and smiling every time you build your own bridge with words.
