Grammar Focus: The Present Simple ✍️ Welcome to our mind map! To talk about folklore, legends, and general truths, we use the Present Simple. In this map, you will see how we describe Irish creatures and their habits. How do we use it here? For facts: "Ireland is an island with many secrets." For habits: "A Leprechaun makes shoes and hides his gold." For descriptions: "Banshees scream to warn about the future." Remember the Golden Rule: When we talk about a single creature (He/She/It), we add an -s to the verb: The Giant builds a bridge. (NOT: The Giant build a bridge).
